Update on Lady Divinity

Hi all, I'm feeling well enough for a few minutes that I can update you on what has happened to me (luckily I can type fast)...

After my elderly neighbor lost his wife and I was doing better about the loss, I had 2 teeth surgically removed which kept me out of work because my job is talking telephone calls and I couldn't talk with the pain and swelling. After my days off I went back to work and started taking calls, about half way thru the day my mouth severely swelled, found out the dentist tried stitching my closing stitch to my cheek which was being pulled on everytime I talked which made the swelling worse so I cut out my own stitches and went to work just fine for a week after that.

Last Saturday I went to work and for unknown reasons I could not take in a full breath, I started getting worried and upset which, of course, made it worse. I almost collapsed at work but after some calming down, my boss put my stuff in my locker and walked me out to my jeep asking if i was sure i wanted to try driving home. it was a very difficult drive home in my condition but i made it and stumbled into the house. my husband called my boss to let him know that i did make it home safely and that he is taking me to the emergency room because i still couldnt breathe. after hours of tests and xrays and a shot to the butt for pain, they were able to get some breath back and informed me I have something called "Pleurisy". they say my lungs on the outside are swelling up from extra fuild in the lung wall and will stop me from breathing. if it's not treated, it kills people...usually elderly get this but somehow i got it so tuesday i went to another doctor who could look into it more.

Tuesday I went to a lung specialist and he did some more blood tests and listening to me breathe. he is wondering if when i get ready for bed and lay down, that my oxyegen levels are dropping so severely that my lungs fight to breathe which can cause Pleurisy AND may be triggering my Restless Leg Syndrome which seemed to get worse these last couple weeks. I have been informed by the doc that I will be getting an oxygen monitoring machine to watch and record my oxygen rate while I sleep to see if it does drop like he thinks. They have me on a constant supply of tylenol with codine to keep pain to a minimum and help me sleep so it records a restful sleep (not waking up every hour or so). Also on high mg doses of Ibuprophen to try to fight the swelling. I'm barely strong enough to handle sitting up long enough to type this, I have been confined to my bed for most of this. I am not allowed to really leave the house because the high humidity causes instant distress with my breathing and heart rate so I have been taken off of work till atleast this coming Saturday.

I wish i had better news for you all but i'm just trying to survive this, my parents are so worried that it sounds like they're trying not to cry, my husband is doing everything he can to keep me comfortable, and the kids are scared for me. I found out, this Pleurisy killed my Grandpa a couple years ago and killed my parent's friend's father last year. Everyone keep me in your prayers please because I will admit, I am very scared right now. I wish I could go to sleep and wake up to find out it was just a bad dream. Don't panic too much, Lady D. One of my best friends had pleurisy last year, and he came out of it fine. Are you sure they said pleurisy,though? Normally that's an inflamation of the lining. There's something related that causes fluid buildup that's pleuratic efflusion (or something like that).

hey, Lady D. You've been seriously missed.

Is it stress related? When was the last time you had a job talking on the phone? I know that I was prescribed anti-inflam steroids along with pain meds when I had my Wisdom teeth out. Could it be an adverse reaction to any of those?
